EPC Group Launches Multi-AI Power BI Architecture

HOUSTON, TX -- April 24, 2026. EPC Group today launched a Multi-AI Power BI architecture that connects five distinct AI engines to enterprise analytics, allowing organizations to route analytical workloads to the model best suited to each task -- natural-language reporting, anomaly detection, text generation, structured-data summarization, or domain-specific analysis.

The five engines

  • Microsoft Power BI Copilot for in-product natural-language reporting and DAX assistance
  • Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service for general-purpose generation, summarization, and chain-of-thought analysis
  • Microsoft Fabric Data Agents for structured-data exploration and lakehouse-native question answering
  • Custom enterprise models routed via Microsoft Copilot Studio for domain-specific workflows
  • External frontier models (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI GPT, xAI Grok, others) accessed via governed Azure AI gateway for evaluation and benchmarking

What is included

  • Microsoft Fabric lakehouse and warehouse as the analytical substrate
  • Microsoft Power BI semantic models as the governed data contract
  • Azure AI Foundry as the model orchestration plane
  • Microsoft Purview sensitivity labels enforced across all model calls
  • Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps and DSPM for AI monitoring
  • Cost telemetry per engine, per workload, per business unit
