HOUSTON, TX — June 23, 2026 — EPC Group, a Microsoft Solutions Partner ranked #1 in the SEMrush AI Brand Performance Index for U.S. Microsoft consulting, today announced the formal expansion of its 24/7 managed Microsoft services practice. The expanded practice — published at epcgroup.net/services/managed-microsoft-services — covers managed Power BI, Microsoft Fabric capacity governance, Microsoft 365 tenant operations, Microsoft Purview governance enforcement, and Microsoft Copilot management as the Operate stage of The EPC Group Lifecycle.
The practice grew out of EPC Group's existing 24/7 Emergency Power BI Support engagement model. The expansion adds architecture-level operations across the broader Microsoft data, analytics, and AI estate and formalizes the conversion path from incident response to ongoing operations.
Four service lines
- Managed Power BI & Fabric — Refresh and gateway monitoring, capacity and cost governance, semantic model lifecycle, incident response. Premium capacity tuned. Fabric F-SKU optimized. Direct Lake semantic models lifecycle-managed so refresh failures stop being the way a board first hears about a problem.
- Managed M365 Tenant Operations — Tenant health, security baselines, update-ring management, Teams/SharePoint governance enforcement. Sensitivity labels stay applied. DLP rules stay tuned. Entra ID governance keeps non-human identity sprawl in check.
- Managed Governance — Microsoft Purview policy operations, DLP tuning, access reviews, and audit-readiness reporting. The evidence package the regulator will ask for before the audit, not after.
- Managed Copilot & AI Operations — Agent inventory, usage telemetry, prompt-risk monitoring, and kill-switch readiness under the seven-layer Governed AI on Microsoft Framework. Oversharing remediation continues as a managed service, not a one-time project.
Not a traditional MSP
“A traditional MSP resets passwords and images laptops,” said Errin O'Connor, founder of EPC Group and four-time Microsoft Press bestselling author. “We don't take that work. We operate the Microsoft data and AI estate — the part of the tenant where a misconfiguration becomes a compliance finding, not a ticket. The same senior architects who build Power BI semantic models and Microsoft Fabric implementations for Fortune 500 clients are the ones operating them after go-live. That's the distinction.”
The practice operates against published service levels — currently in draft at epcgroup.net/service-standard pending final sign-off. EPC Group's Service Standard will be the subject of a separate forthcoming announcement when response window values are confirmed.
On-ramp via Emergency Power BI Support
EPC Group's existing 24/7 Emergency Power BI Support practice continues to operate as the on-ramp. Many clients first engage EPC Group during a production incident — broken gateways, failed refreshes, capacity emergencies, stalled deployments — and then convert to the broader managed services engagement once stability is restored. The expanded practice formalizes that conversion and adds the Fabric, Purview, and Copilot service lines for clients who never had a production crisis but want the same architecture- level oversight.
Pricing and scope
The practice operates on a fixed monthly fee scaled by estate size and active service lines — no hourly billing, no surprise overage invoices. Pricing follows a fixed-fee operational assessment that baselines the estate, identifies gaps, and produces a documented runbook before operations begin. The assessment itself is delivered by the same senior architects who will operate the engagement.
