  1. Go to your Power BI desktop and click on Get data.

  2. Enter the server name in the server. Take a necessary precaution while writing the URL as you should write the full URL.
  3. Paste it in the database if you know the name of the database that you want to connect to.
  4. Click on ‘connect’ on the connection option.

  6. Enter your login details further.
  7. You will see the navigator option. Select the model you want to connect and click on connect. All the models will be displayed.

  1. When you are using the Analytics view then always check before that it is not private and is shared.
  2. When you will open the Power BI desktop including your data choose the ‘publish’ option on the ‘home’ tab.
  3. Sign in or reply to the prompts coming if you haven’t. You will have to create an account if you haven’t created one.
  4. After signing in, open the ‘file name’ option which will be there in the Power BI link.
  5. Select the workspace when you publish the report.
  6. Go to the upper right corner of the screen and choose the datasets.
  7. Click on the ellipsis next to it. it will have the report you had loaded.
  8. Select the ‘scheduled refresh’ option.
  9. When you further go and choose the ‘edit credentials’ option, select the authentication option relevant to you.
  10. Choose sign in and your credentials will be entered.
